Please contact the session organisers directly with any questions about the selection of abstracts or other session-related matters.

We look forward to your contributions that engage with critical urban issues and foster dialogue on urban inequalities.

Call for Posters

Dear Colleagues!

In addition to the classic panels in our programme, we invite you to present your research as a scientific poster.

The posters will be displayed prominently in the arcaded courtyard, where all breaks and social gatherings will take place. Prizes will be awarded for the best posters, as voted by participants via the conference app. Winners will be announced during the social dinner.

Poster Guidelines:

Posters should be in DIN A0 (approx. 119 x 84 cm), portrait (not landscape) format. We cannot cover the printing costs.

Posters can describe ongoing research, recently completed projects, or conceptual deliberations. The poster should address a topic close to the conference theme “Inequalities and the City. Old Issues, New Challenges”.

Artistic, quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, triangulation, and/or contemplative methods are welcome. Comparative research is favoured.

Feel free to deviate from standard templates and incorporate artistic presentation forms if that better represents the essence of your research. We discourage words-only posters.

Important Dates:

You will be notified by January 29th 2026, about your submission. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounts on the conference fee for poster presenters.

Pitch your work

At the RC21 2026 VIENNA CONFERENCE, you will also have the opportunity to present your work.

At the Pitch Your Work sessions, you can present a book, documentary, or movie published or released between 2024 and 2026. Each session will be allocated 30 minutes during the 1,5h lunch break.

To submit a proposal to a Pitch Your Work session, please fill out the form below. You may also upload a PDF of the book cover or an image of your work.

A notification of acceptance will be sent on January 29, 2026, and presenters need to register as conference participants.

We are looking forward to receiving your “Pitch your Work” proposals and to welcoming you in Vienna.
